About the job: 

Do you like short sales cycles and monthly commissions? That’s the type of return you can expect from being a Rentals Sales Manager. Life for them is FAST. They love it.

You will develop customer service relationships with electrical and general contractors, home builders, event companies, industrial and commercial end-users, and rentals houses, property management companies, the list goes on.

It all boils down to who needs temporary power for standby generators. This is about supplying power solutions for our customers.

We have a large fleet of mobile rental units from 20 kW up to 9.5 MEGS (1.5 MEGS are available with the ability to provide 3.5 MEGS when paralleled – that’s a lot of power!).

We are looking for a positive attitude for people who are seriously competitive. They look at what is the best way to take care of their customers so their customers will come to rely on them. They are not afraid of obstacles that can occur with a difficult job because they are troubleshooters. They love the variety of customers they associate with. They are impatient and action-oriented, that’s why they like the fast pace.

CRM software is where they document customers, leads, actions, and follow-ups.

They will identify, pursue, grow, and close new and existing client base for the RENTAL of mobile generator sets as well as renting load banks. Develop strong relationships with;

  • Electrical and general contractors
  • Homebuilders
  • Event companies
  • Industrial and commercial end-users
  • Rental houses

Maintain and improve relationships with existing and potential customers and follow-up on outstanding opportunities in the power generation market. Develop brand awareness and follow-up with customers throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business in new and existing markets
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify and recruit top sales talent
  • Mentor employees to help them achieve individual & team objectives

Job Requirements

  • The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers.
  • Overall experience 5-10 years
  • We are looking for a minimum of at least 3 years of outside sales experience. If you have emergency power generation industry experience, that's even better. 
  • BS/BA, AA is great but we are really focused on your sales experience.
  • A proven track record of closing sales, obtaining new business, and strong relationship maintenance
  • Excellent customer follow-up, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of diesel and natural gas engine generators or the good engine or electrical knowledge, as well as the rental industry as a whole, is a strong plus
  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and drive for success
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent command of English
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Presentation Skills
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Dedication to providing great customer service.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
