About the Job

Job Duties:

  • Is responsible for all Planning /Progress and Performance functions as assigned by the Chief Technical Officer; Is responsible for developing and updating scope of work and timeline for technical department
  • Monitor and control the time schedules and generate relevant cash flow to assist in financial planning for the department’s different functions (Design Management, Projects’ Management), in addition to reporting the status of individual projects on a monthly basis
  • Work with the technical directors to manage and control the time schedules during the design, procurement, construction and handover stages of projects and interface with consultants and contractors, in addition to the in-house design, procurement and construction management teams to provide planning & scheduling services for the CTO and Top Management
  • Perform critical path delay analysis in a supporting role to review and recommend alternative plans and corrective actions
  • Report progress achieved against the Master Program and individual project programs as necessary
  • Direct the planning efforts for all projects in accordance with standard work practices and guidelines tying them into the Master Program of the department
  • Analyze variances in schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to the CTO
  • Develop recovery programs and identify risk elements to CTO
  • Perform critical path analysis and what if strategies in order to assess potential delays to the program
  • Contribute to the proposal stage (pre-award) for tendering activities
  • Maintain and provide meaningful, accurate historical data for planning of future works/ projects
  • Following up overall project’s progress with the technical department heads involved to ensure an on time delivery, a controlled budget and a well reflected quality standards
  • Is responsible for producing daily and periodic reports on the design and construction progress and provide advice on any possible improvements
  • Assist the CTO in estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve projects’ goals as well as planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget
  • Prepare the technical department procedures along with the execution manual covering all phases of the work and maintaining all documents updated
  • Establish the technical objectives of the projects clearly and communicate them to the organization
  • Participate in managing the department’s budget, and establish the provisional planning
  • Follow up on the design, construction and pre-commissioning process with the technical heads
  • Make sure that all projects are executed in accordance with the QA/QC procedures
  • Prepare progress reports and make sure that corrective actions are taken
  • Follow up overall projects’ progress within the department involved to ensure on time delivery and quality
  • Review the Design methods from designers
  • Coordinate between the technical heads of the department internally and between the department and other departments of the organization
  • Is responsible for follow up on all design coordination within the projects to ensure that technically, the project is consistent from concept through implementation, with the objectives set at the project initiation
Job Requirements

Profile Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum five (5) years of working experience in real estate development including experience in project management, development, and Technical Design management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with excellent Presentation skills
  • PRMG or PMP certification is preferred
