Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to developing the annual operations plan for the distribution department, breaking it down into seasonal, monthly, weekly, and daily plans to ensure optimal receipt and distribution of products.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring the department’s budget to ensure adherence and efficient performance.
- Collaborate with Planning, Production, Sales, and Branches departments to align sales requests with production outputs.
- Oversee the reception of products from production through to distribution, ensuring quality and timely delivery to branches, supermarkets, and wholesale outlets.
- Ensure adherence to distribution policies to guarantee fair and timely product delivery across all branches.
- Review and address any distribution errors to ensure that all products reach the intended branches without delays.
- Develop shift schedules to ensure timely product dispatch and prevent delays in branch distribution.
- Optimize fleet usage by coordinating loads between nearby branches along specific routes.
- Regularly monitor and assess employee performance in line with the annual plan and performance indicators, addressing any variances.
- Track reports and submit comprehensive updates to upper management periodically.
- Train and guide the team to reach targeted performance levels and minimize operational errors.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in distribution, ideally with experience in shipping.
- Skills: Strong leadership, budgeting, and coordination skills with a keen attention to operational detail.
