Job Description
The CCO is mainly responsible for effectively managing the compliance risks faced by the Company. To achieve this target, the CCO should do the following:
- Compliance processes documentation & company employees’ familiarization.
- Timely submission of Compliance Reports to regulators.
- Timely recording and publishing of compliance issues and case handling records [includes reporting to CBE for matters related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML)].
- Timely responsiveness (Compliance cases handling).
Job Requirements
- University degree.
- Postgraduate degree in business/commerce/economics/finance is an advantage.
- Legal knowledge is a plus.
- Certification in Compliance field.
- Strong business insight gained from extensive use of educational degrees in business, finance & compliance in banking sector.
- Strong understanding of local banking law & practices, regulatory requirements and products & services.
- Sound knowledge in Compliance standards.
- Experience in handling compliance processes, procedures and regulatory reporting.
- Participation experience in variety of banking initiatives and solutions.
- Working knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools and stakeholder management skill is plus.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with proven decision making track record under pressing conditions.
- Capable of providing comprehensive training and awareness sessions to various levels within the organization.
