About the Job
  • Oversees and directs the cleanliness of the Hospital Rooms, public rooms, office spaces (Stand-in for any member of staff that is unavailable to carry out their duties in order to prevent any unfilled gap).
  • Responsible for purchase, reorder, controlling and maintain adequate inventory level for the Laundry Patient (ensuring dirty laundries are timelessly and appropriately cleaned); supplies and amenities (Responsible for the maintenance of vendor/supplier relationship).
  • Responsible for ensuring dirty laundries are timelessly and appropriately cleaned
  • Maintains the department day to day schedule.
  • Supports the highest standards of cleanliness, safety & Infection Control Program.
  • Ensures the maintenance of all furniture and equipment’s with the engineering department.
  • Handling Patients Complaints – Room Hygiene, Furniture, and Cleanliness related (listen to customers’ complaints and ensure that the complaints are addressed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train all new housekeeping staff.
  • Planning and organizing furniture of a new project inside hospital.
  • Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain good relationship with managers of other units in the organization.
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
  • Inspects facilities, recommends upgrades when needed.
Job Requirements
  • Hospital experience (3 – 5) years.
  • Passionate about a hygienic environment.
  • Mathematical skills needed in order to appropriately mix cleaning agents according to the prescription of the manufacturer.
  • The ability to take the initiative and lead others
  • Knowledge of the process of sterilizing equipment
  • Effective interpersonal skill
  • Work experience as a housekeeping manager.
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Good diplomatic skill
  • Punctuality to serve as an example to employees
  • Basic understanding of how to carry out plumbing and electrical repairs
  • The ability to think critically over housekeeping issues and proffer cost-effective solutions
