- Plan, direct, or coordinate material flow, warehousing, forecasting, customer service; issue and develop an operations plan for business units to achieve company goals. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
- Develop an operations plan for business units to achieve company goals.
- Optimize operations plan to meet changing business needs.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
- Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Negotiate transportation rates or services, to achieve purchase feasibility.
- Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
- Direct distribution centre operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
- Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
- Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities
- Issue logistics and planning status periodically reports.

- Competence in planning software is mandatory.
