Job Description
Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Generating leads.
- evaluating the nutritional value, colour, flavour and texture of food.
- Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.
- testing food samples for particular types of moulds, yeast and bacteria that may be harmful
- working closely with other food production staff including microbiologists, engineers, packaging specialists and buyers.
- Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
- ensuring that food manufacturing processes conform with government, processing, consumer and industry standards weekly and monthly reports.
- Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
- Understanding and promoting company programs.
- Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.
- Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
- Maintaining client records.
- Lead product development idealisations for individual brand tastings.
- Develop and refine specifications for new and/or existing products.
- Provide technical expertise for products in development, new or improvement of existing.
