Job Description

  • Networking with a range of stakeholders including the Downtown Community, Media and Key players in the arts & culture scene.
  • Initiating communication including news worthy announcements, invitations and event coverage about the company’s initiatives Arts & Cultural activities in line with the company strategy and delivering on the core of Al Ismaelia Arts & Culture program.
  • In charge of updating all the online platforms (Social media, website, etc.…).
  • Overseeing event happenings and following up on all writing, proofreading copies and liaising with designers and production houses concerning content.
  • Research for newsworthy content for the newsletter.
  • In charge of verification, editing and copywriting of all printed and published material integrating up to date information as soon as they become apparent.
  • Obtaining all involved parties’ approvals prior to print of any communication for maximum control over the precision of content.
  • Following up on Al Ismaelia news, and achievements drafting the needed Press Releases to be used in generating publicity in the company Newsletter and other related magazines and Newspapers.
  • Media monitoring and developing a regular report with clippings and tear sheets of all Al Ismaelia generated coverage.
  • Arranging for photography and possible company exposure opportunities during events and public appearances.
  • Prepare for interviews with press to maintain a high profile for Al Ismaelia.
  • Attending to press interests to ensure only quality news is exposed to public.
  • Looking out for opportunities for publicity whether local or international thus working on public appearance especially what concerns charity and social related events…etc
  • Attending social functions and award presentations ceremonies for coverage purposes

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass communications.
  • An average of 2 - 4 years of experience in relevant areas.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • A multitasker with strong organization, planning and coordination skills.
  • Fluent English and Arabic spoken and written.
  • Excellent in copy editing and news writing in both languages.
  • Active with a high level of attention to details.
  • Proficient user of MS Office.
