Role Description
- Works collaboratively with clients and stakeholders - both external and internal to the company - to research and elicit, analyse, validate and document business requirements, and to ensure that those requirements clearly reflect true business needs, correctly representing all stakeholders. Translates business needs into system/ application requirements and project components to help determine solutions to business problems.
- Assists team members in producing functional requirements for scheme development.
- Proactively identifies and manages changes to requirements and identify risks for the company’s clients.
- Effectively manages client’s expectations. Applies industry and information technology expertise to support proposals, feasibility studies, implementations and new business development.
- Work in a team of SMEs to advise on scheme rules and their maintenance. Needs to be able to follow transactions through issuer and acquirer processes and be able to discuss/explain scheme rules to Banks’ SMEs
Job Requirements
responsibilities:
- Subject matter expert in the area of EMV applications, PoS terminals to support the project
- Maintenance of the card scheme rules and manuals for the client’s card payment scheme.
- This will comprise of the following documentation types:
Technical Specification for Acquiring and Issuing Banks including:
- Transaction flows,
- Configuration requirements for ATM and POS terminals to
- correctly process contact/contactless cards;
- technical specification for issuers;
- technical specification for members clearing and settlement;
- technical specification for scheme mobile developers;
- technical specification for other service providers;
- certification requirements
Education and Experience Required:
- Typically, a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience
- Essential to have 4 experience of working with credit/payment card processing with a significant portion of this in the EMV area
- Desirable to have experience in either Product definition or Scheme Processing rules associated with card payment schemes
