Job Description
- Manage and maintain hotel inventory by monitoring availability, and pick-up, to ensure sufficient room supply in line with business needs.
- Maximize contract performance by negotiating tactical promotions and special offers with hotels under Sourcing Managers’ guidance in the designated area.
- Negotiate top ups and close outs directly with the hotels.
- Act as first point of contact in the absence of the Sourcing Manager.
- Undertake price comparisons to ensure ongoing competitiveness of Sourcing.
- Analyze levels of availability in a designated destination/hotel with the aid of internal reporting tools.
- Undertake a weekly destination task list as defined and agreed with the Sourcing Manager / Supervisor.
- Use every, opportunity to liaise with hoteliers over the phone in order to improve hotel performance and the competitive positioning of the company
- Display proficiency in use, and navigation, of internal systems and provide constant administrative support to Sourcing Managers in:

- Uploading contracts to internal processing system.
- Setting contracts live and forwarding partnership agreements to hotels.
- Managing Hotels’ daily requests, close outs, etc.…………..
- Independently loading ad-hoc special offers where necessary.
- Maintaining the contracts filing system in line with company procedure.
- Assisting with supplier issues, e.g. accounts questions, book outs, content entry queries, reservations issues etc. and liaising with the relevant internal department as required.
- Offer extranet training to hotels.
- Draft hotel contracts within the designated area as directed by the Sourcing Manager.
- Chase hotels for contract proposals and renewal signatures as directed by the Sourcing Manager
- Assist the Sourcing Manager with business development opportunities in new areas within the designated region.
- Follow up on new leads and opportunities
- You may be required to undertake other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Sourcing Manager i.e. report preparations.
Job Requirements
- Experience within the Travel industry.
- Awareness of B2B, Online Travel/ E Commerce environments.
- Very good in English (verbal & written).
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge, Excel and Outlook in particular
- Experience, communication skills.
- Behavioral Requirements.
- Commercially savvy and numerically astute.
- At ease in using the phone to negotiate with hoteliers.
- Effective communicator with influencing abilities.
- Good analytical skills.
