Job Description
As a Telesales Agent at STEM Entrepreneurship Center, you will play a key role in driving our growth by engaging potential and existing customers over the phone to promote our STEM education programs and services. You will be responsible for generating leads, closing sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and relationship building. This position requires a goal-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for education and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers to present and promote STEM EC’s educational offerings.
- Answer incoming calls from customers to address inquiries and provide solutions.
- Use prepared scripts to inform customers about products, services, and promotions.
- Qualify leads and understand customer requirements to close sales.
- Maintain accurate customer information and call records using CRM systems.
- Follow up on leads and referrals to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective sales strategies.
- Handle customer objections and resolve issues to convert prospects into successful sales.
- Stay updated on product features, benefits, and pricing information.
- Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and market trends.
- Ensure a positive customer experience to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- 1-2 years of telesales or customer service experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software, VoIP phone systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to handle rejection professionally.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with a cool-tempered, persistent, and goal-driven mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent command of English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve complaints efficiently.
- Willingness to go the “extra mile” to meet sales targets and facilitate future sales.
- Passion for education, technology, and STEM fields is highly desirable.
