Job Description

S/he has to develop supply sourcing strategies that reduce cost, ensure supply continuity and meet ABC’s quality requirements
Demonstrate the technical proficiency in the end-to-end purchasing process and acts in a consultative manner to support the transactional procurement activities in his/her section
Supports in establishing guidelines for the procurement process which lead to improved efficiency and effectiveness in purchasing activities
Develops and executes the Sourcing/Negotiation Plans for assigned category and supply chain area, both short and long term that would address the Total Cost of Ownership in obtaining the best value for ABC
Responsible for conducting the needed Market Analysis
Responsible for conducting the needed assessments to evaluate the Supply Risk of the required items
Managing the suppliers to ensure timely supply with best possible prices and quality.
Responsible of providing the needed quotations to allow the purchase requests to issue their Purchase requisitions will all needed detailed specifications.
Responsible for conducting the Supplier Evaluation for those selected vendors
Responsible for embedding accurate Master Data into the SAP system.
Responsible of setting the expected delivery dates
Following up with the supplier until the arrival of shipments in the required dates
Responsible for ensuring the timely payment for the supplier by conducting periodical follow up with Finance dept.
Updating the vendor list & working on ensuring a list of backup suppliers.

Job Requirements

Education, Certifications and Licenses:

University Bachelor degree is a must, preferably Engineering.

Knowledge and Experience:

1-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, material management or maintenance is a plus
Worked in an industrial repetitive mass production environment
