Job Description
Responsibilities
Application Development
- Development of Omnichannel platform by working closely with other application developers and vendor resources involved in the build of the application
- Closely work with Application Development Manager and associated functions in Business Analysis, Enterprise architecture and UI/ UX Innovation to ensure optimal solution from a business and customer perspective
- Ensure timely delivery of digital application project commitments
- Work closely with 3rd party vendors involved in delivering digital projects for CIB
- Ensure adherence to Best Practices and Standards in Application development, particularly to CIB standards
- Help maintain and enhance Application Development standards and policies in the Bank
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
Day- to-day operations
- Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the department to ensure continuity of work
Compliance
- Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks
Job Requirements
Years Of Experience: Minimum 4 Years Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4+ years of overall experience in Application Development in Banking specifically in Digital Applications
- 4+ years of experience working with Digital channels and programs involving banking innovation, fintech etc.
- Experience with key Digital Application development technologies (Java, JavaScript and related frameworks, mobile app development with Android and iOS/ ObjectiveC, Security frameworks, Digital banking/ CX platforms like InfoSys, Misys, Backbase, other Mobile development platforms like IBM, SAP)
- 2+ years of experience in leading Application Development using an Agile methodology like Scrum, along with knowledge of Agile processes (Sprint planning, Retrospective, Playbacks, demos, Product and Sprint backlog management etc)
- Experience with major Testing technologies to support development activities (IBM Rational Suite, HP Testing Suite, JIRA, Jenkins etc)
Recommended Certification
- Scrum or other Agile Certification preferred
