Job Description
Assist in developing and maintaining policies, processes and procedures for the governance of Information Technology based on best practices (COBIT, ISO, or equivalent), and Work with other colleagues within the bank in developing, establishing, managing, monitoring and reviewing a range of systems to support our governance procedures in light of the shared strategies for the bank and IT.
Governance & Adherence
- Enhance, revise and update governance frameworks, policies & controls based on analysed information from different IT departments such as risk, compliance or quality assurance.
- Work with other colleagues within the bank in developing, establishing, managing, monitoring and reviewing a range of systems to support our governance procedures.
- Prepare proper training to any relevant change management programs and for the developed IT policies and controls throughout the company.
- Analyse and evaluate based on the input from quality department the effectiveness & enhancement requirements for different IT departments.
- Prepare all required IT policies and procedures, frameworks related to IT Governance and make sure that they are followed and up to date.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance activities such as creating any required templates and standards to be adopted by different IT departments.
- Recommend and participate in implementing any required IT standards & controls.
- Participate in any project-related work to address Technology compliance as mandated.
- Respond to the IT staff inquiries concerning the IT polices and compliance guidelines.
- Define the required IT governance performance monitoring measures.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
- Implement approved department policies, processes, and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner
Day-to-day management
- Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the Governance Risk, and Compliance department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
Compliance
- Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks
Job Requirements
Years of Experience: 5 Years
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Very good command of English & Arabic languages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of banking experience
- Minimum of 5 years of overall IT experience
- Proven experience in managing governance operations within other banks
- Solid experience in working in large scale organisation
- Ability to influence others within the organisation while being open to other people’s views through negotiation skills
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and monitoring internal procedures for adherence to regulations and policies
- Practical knowledge of working in a Service Management organization based on international standard
- Ability to absorb, digest and relate detailed governance, and regulatory information.
- Well-organized and detailed oriented professional, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- COBIT, CMMI, ISO certification or equivalent working experience is an asset
- Working in a multi-national bank is an asset
