Internship Description
Job Description:
* Design structural steel and prepare the calculation sheet.
* Ensure the design adheres to relevant building codes, safety standards, and project requirements and specifications.
* Participate in coordination meetings to collect the information and data needed for the design and ensure the steel structure meets the owner's requirements for functionality, aesthetics, and budget.
* Coordinate with other disciplines involved in the project (architects, contractors, etc.) to maintain design integrity and resolve any conflicts.
* Prepare the 3D model and review shop drawings submitted by the steel fabricator for constructability, efficiency, and compliance with the approved design.
* Conduct or oversee site inspections during steel structure erection to verify quality and adherence to plans.
* Prepare and manage technical reports related to the steel structure.
* Maintain clear and concise communication with the owner regarding the progress, potential issues, and solutions related to the steel structure.
Internship Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
* Fresh graduate.
* Demonstrated knowledge in the principles of solving indeterminate structures.
* Understanding of building codes and industry standards related to steel structures.
* Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
* Knowledge in structural engineering software (STAAD.Pro and Advanced Excel) and drafting software (AutoCAD and Tekla)
