They engineer the construction of a variety of structures, such as tanks, Residential and commercial, Industrial, plants and towers buildings. These professionals are at the intersection of science and industry, combining their knowledge of math, science, and construction technology to create safe and functional structures.Core ResponsibilitiesCarry our analysis and design of building structures using software like Etabs/SAFE, STAAD,SAP, Prokon, PCA, RAM.Knowledge of Revit will be an advantage.Offer support and guidance to junior members of the teamEffectively manage own time which may be necessary if allocated to more than one projectRequirementsPlease read these requirements carefully before applying and ensure they are evident on your CV if you have achieved them.Degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringExperience of 7+ years working in Design office, designing building structures. Familiarity with Concrete codes IS/BS, ACI, SBC, ECP, AISC Codes of Practice.Experience of working on multi-discipline projectsPractical experience of reinforced concrete design and RC detailing of reinforced concrete structures, to British Standards and American codesPreferably also practical experience of structural steel design and detailing of steel structures, to British Standards and American codesHave a desire to technically lead and collaborate within a technically orientated teamEstablished skill and delivery in the design and analysis of concrete and steel structures, and be familiar with current design standards and working practicesExcellent communication skillsA flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility givenFlexible approach to work locationHave the ability to make decisions, act on your own initiativeThe IndividualYou will have a proactive, co-operative and helpful attitude to colleagues and clientsA self-motivating, reliable and consistent approach to work is essentialPractically minded with a problem solving natureYou must be able to work independently and in teamsAcceptance of responsibility for work carried outA flexible and adaptable approach to work is requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills
