Job Description

Summary:

The Finance Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the organization's financial operations. They ensure accurate and timely financial recordkeeping, assist with various financial processes, and provide administrative support to the finance department. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process vendor invoices for payment.
    • Manage and track accounts receivable, including sending invoices and collecting payments.
    • Reconcile bank statements for accounts payable and receivable accounts.
  • General Ledger and Financial Reporting:
    • Assist with daily accounting tasks, such as data entry, account coding, and processing financial transactions.
    • Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts.
    • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist with the preparation and tracking of budgets.
    • Participate in the financial forecasting process.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the finance department, such as filing, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars.
    • Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a professional manner.
  • Other Duties:
    • Perform other financial-related tasks as assigned.
    • Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting regulations and procedures.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent English speaking & writing.
