Job Description
- Ensures that the applied purchasing procedures are in line with company's policies
Monitors and supervises purchasing activities and procedures. - Coordinates with suppliers to ensure an effective relationship between the projects and key suppliers.
- Coordinates with the Procurement & Material Director to select suppliers, issue purchase orders and obtain required supplies.
- Oversees the timely placement of purchase orders
- Analyzes purchasing requests, transactions and offers, determining the method of purchase and directing the processing of requisitions into purchase orders within the set limits.
- Identifies & establishes key relationships and partnerships with potential vendors and conducts negotiations in order to obtain the best prices and terms.
- Monitors price trends keeping all concerned departments aware of changes in materials markets or major suppliers' trends.
- Develops plans aimed at developing the processes of procurement, and working closely with suppliers to improve lead times and value adding services.
- Communicate with suppliers, contractors & subcontractors
