Ensure risk mitigation strategies are discussed with functional heads so that they are able to incorporate risk control elements within their business processes. 13 Monitor and assess the impact of changes in legal/ statutory regulations from a risk standpoint. 14 Provide expert advice and make appropriate recommendations on risk control and compliance issues to the top management. 15 Ensure to adhere to relevant AML and Compliance regulations as issued by Capital Markets Authority (CMA), Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), Ministry of commerce and Industries (MoCI) and other applicable regulators. 16 Report and advise senior management of deficiencies in implementation of Risk Management policies and procedures and recommend measures to safeguard the Company’s and client’s interests. 17 Ensures optimal utilization of available resources to maximize company’s profitability 18 Continuous Interaction with business and support teams 19 Creation of overall awareness on risk related issues and mitigation, thereof 20 Assess and report inherent business risks as well as residual risks to the Board of Directors 21 Suggest cost effective mitigations to manage these risks 22 Submit special Risk Report to CMA, once every 6 months 23 Prepare and manage the implementation and execution of the annual audit plan, in order to ensure that all deadlines are met. 24 Identify activities significant to audit coverage, evaluate their significance and assess the degree of inherent risk for the purpose of improved operating efficiency and increased management control. 25 Direct and review audit projects to ensure internal standards are maintained by staff in planning, execution and reporting. 26 Present management reports, including findings on the result of the audit examination, discussing deficiencies and recommending ways to management to improve management controls and operating efficiency / reduce costs. Follow through on audits and address queries from colleagues or auditees and review and follow up on matters/issues identified with respective personnel of audited areas under supervision. 28 Review from an audit perspective, the adequacy of new systems, software, procedures and management controls to accomplish intended objectives. 29 Review compliance by various functions of the business, with established policies, procedures and management instructions. Obtain management approval to take corrective actions, in case of any discrepancies noted. 30 Ensure confidentiality and secured retention of hard or electronic data, information and records. 31 Participate in various committees or task forces geared to policy/procedure development and operational improvements 32 Keep abreast of legislative issues, new audit regulations/trends and appropriate audit direction/methodology
