Job Description
- Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons, activities, and routines.
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Foster a warm and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and social development.
- Assist with daily care routines such as diapering, toileting, feeding, dressing, and naptime.
- Observe and document children’s behavior and development to support planning and parent communication.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring materials and supplies are prepared and available.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children’s progress and daily experiences.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
- Support children’s emotional and social development using positive discipline and conflict resolution strategies.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children in a childcare or early education setting.
- Basic understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Background check clearance and compliance with local childcare regulations.
