Job Description
As a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data. You will be responsible for reconciling vendor accounts, managing VAT processes, supporting audits, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies. Your analytical mindset and deep understanding of accounting standards will contribute to effective decision-making and sound financial management.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Matching internal records with vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
- Verifying payments, credits, and debits to ensure accurate application to invoices
- Resolving account issues, explaining balances, and assisting with inquiries
- Preparing reconciliation reports for management and tracking discrepancies
- Assisting with month-end processes and accurate financial reporting
- Reconciling vendor accounts by comparing internal records (accounts payable) with vendor statements
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies between company records and vendor balances through communication with vendors or internal teams
- Analyzing transactions to determine VAT liability and applying correct VAT rates
- Overseeing preparation and submission of VAT returns in compliance with domestic and international tax laws
- Preparing and reconciling Lease IFRS 16 schedules
- Reconciling and analyzing payroll transactions and identifying discrepancies
- Supporting external audit processes and financial statement preparation
- Performing monthly trial balance reconciliation
- Preparing monthly accruals and prepaid schedules
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning, reconciliation, and audit support
- Strong knowledge of VAT, IFRS 16, and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
