We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated self-starter landscape architect to join our design team. The landscape architect will be responsible for following up on the design activity and the development of the landscape projects providing technical expertise and coordination with the different architects and disciplines. The candidate will also be responsible for the following:
- Reviews landscape designs with the consultants.
- Prepares conceptual sketches and designs.
- Coordination of landscaping works with associated engineering systems including MEP.
- Prepares landscape design and construction documents.
- Inspects landscape works to ensure that it adheres to original plans.
Job Requirements
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent grading skills
- Knowledge of construction document preparation
- Familiarity with plant materials suited to the Northeast region.
- Proficient hand drafting and sketching abilities resulting in strong conceptual designs.
- English fluency is a must.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program
- 3-7 years of internship and/or full-time experience in a detail-oriented office environment
- Licensure in Landscape Architecture is not required but is advantageous
- Strong time management, critical thinking, and organization skills
- Comfortable with being productive independently with limited supervision.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time
