The Soft Skills Trainer and Coach is a central role in the developmental program supporting 140 high school youth in Mahala. The coach will design and deliver engaging soft skills sessions that complement the program’s technical and technological tracks. Using competency-based and gamified learning approaches, the coach will support youth in building life skills, positive behavior, and employability competencies. He/She will coordinate and follow up with part-time trainers, ensure integration of soft skills with technical pathways, and provide administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver interactive soft skills sessions.
- Apply gamified learning methods and experiential activities to increase engagement and reinforce behavioral skills.
- Coach and mentor participants individually and in groups, tracking their progress in personal, social, and academic development.
- Coordinate and follow up with part-time trainers to ensure integration between soft skills and technical/technological training.
- Conduct follow-up activities to reinforce learning and positive behavior indicators set for each student.
- Prepare and submit detailed weekly and monthly reports highlighting students’ progress, challenges, and recommendations.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, attendance tracking, and reporting to program management.
- Contribute to extracurricular and community activities (volunteering, sports, cultural events, etc.) that strengthen soft skills.
- Monitor the overall development of the 140 youth participants and ensure that individual improvement plans are supported.
- Collaborate with the program management team to achieve program objectives and prepare youth for future education and employment pathways.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any related filed.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in youth training, coaching, or development programs, with proven expertise in soft skills and life skills training.
- Experience in applying gamification and interactive methodologies in youth development programs.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate vulnerable youth.
- Experience coordinating with multi-disciplinary and part-time trainers.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills (weekly, monthly, and final reports).
- Fluency in Arabic is required; English proficiency is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance training with administrative responsibilities.
- Passion for empowering orphan and vulnerable youth through education and skills development.
