Job Description
- Monitor all activities and communication between our logistics department and other Local services provider (Freight companies, Clearance Agent, Domestic, Express, Insurance companies, Sea Lines, Import and Export authority control authorization …....).
- Coordinates with the Order Processing on setting rules for new foreign supplier to come up with the best solution for the Customs & Import and export authority control & MOH regulations to meet also the company dead line schedules.
- Schedules, directs and coordinates logistics functions according to existing documented policies and procedures to ensure they are in place and followed. - Recommends and ensures the implementation of changes and enhancements as necessary. .
- Responsible for the solution creation and implementation for special requirement for all new logistics projects to meet the regulation to avoided rejection from any Egyptian Authority.
- Control applying quotas and tariffs rules this includes follow up the publishing of new rules, laws to take appropriate action.
- Monitor seminars and conferences consignments by handling the re-export process to supplier, getting the custom tariffs back and preparing needed documents for the temporary custom clearance.
- Handle the governmental approvals by preparing required papers, compile documents and information into files for concerned governmental authorities to ensure smooth import procedures.
- Check shipments identifications through receiving all original documents of any marine / air shipment, checking data validity, and verifying bill of lading components (weight – quantity – item) to ensure receiving the right consignment.
- Choose the best service providers through building a solid database for considerable freight and customs clearance companies and update quarterly to ensure providing best service.
- Follow up with DRA the MOH approvals to be able to clear the goods from customs.
- Revising and make sure that the Clearing Agents Invoices are compiling with the Contract and all its Rates are settled correctly and that all recorded Tariff codes are accurate.
Apply insurance on all shipments that are not insured by the suppliers
Job Requirements
- B sc in Accounting or any related field.
- Certificate in Logistics is a plus
- Good command in English Language
- 4-6 years experience in Logistics & Customs Clearance.
- Have strong knowledge of Customs laws & regulations.
