Data Center

• Deliver stable and responsive application, server, data storage, and backup services and software for the Development, Corporate, and Production data center environments.
• Ensure that the differential backups are maintained as per the backup schedule, and configures the backup job in the Veeam Backup & Replication Software as per the backup schedule. In addition, Ensure that all backups are moved real-time to tape and on full utilization, the tape is moved to an offsite location, the Data Recovery Center.
• Oversee the data center master plan and modify as appropriate to adjust for changing circumstances that fulfill Company needs.
• Plan, schedule, and implement servers upgrades, implementations, and migrations in a timely manner, and during times that will have the minimum impact on company’s business services or users of the affected networks & systems.
• Monitor systems up time and make any necessary repairs utilizing available data center resources before they cause business outages
• Provides Second level support for all company implemented projects based on customer agreements.
• Perform maintenance and upgrades during off-hours and provide 24×7 on-call support.
• Lead Disaster Recovery initiative from an infrastructure perspective including documenting recovery procedures of all critical components.

Security Management

• Take a lead role in ensuring the security and compliance requirements of systems and protected data.
• Ensure that all implemented projects meet best practice security guidelines.
• Support company through the testing and evaluation of new technologies and security controls.
• Determine security features, service levels and management requirements for Systems and Hardware providers in consultation with Information Security Director.

Strategic Planning

• Positively enhancing external customer perceptions of company by ensuring Systems availability and effective easy-to-use and rapid interfaces to support communication and transaction.Contribute significantly to capacity, scalability, and budget planning.
• New technology evaluation and ongoing vendor management.
• Come up with evaluation assessments to rate vendor’s new technology gadgets.
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
• Identify opportunities for effective external hosting of core business applications to provide scalable systems capable of supporting geographically diverse workforce.

Document Control

• Write technical reports that include suggested resolution for identified problem areas and perform operational risk assessment

People Management

• Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the Staffing Services Section
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members
• Plan, manage and review individual performance and provide regular feedback, developing opportunities and coaching, taking prompt action where necessary
• Ensure Data center and IT Operations complies with Company policies and processes, practices and systems, and maintain Company high standard of work and work ethic
• Select, direct, develop & motivate staff within IT infrastructure to deliver the highest levels of performance, further build capabilities and deliver a highly professional service to meet internal customer expectations.
