Job Description
- Review the legal aspects of the contracts and agreements concluded by the company, and make sure that it maintains its rights in the other contracting parties.
- Preparing draft legal documents and correspondence and pleadings related to the work, handling litigation related issues, drafting legal due diligence reports and supporting Head of Legal in reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they comply with all statutory or legal requirements.
- Edit legal documents including proofread, assisting in the preparation of legal contracts, deeds, leases, and other legal papers of a routine nature, monitoring daily movements of documents.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Proficiently negotiate terms and conditions of main contracts and prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements
- Help in the establishment of policies and procedures for the contract and subcontract management, risk mitigation, monitoring operational performance in line with project objectives, and assisted the Management Team in the timely preparation of management reports.
- Ensure that contractor is in compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications and government regulations.
- Serve as primary organizational contact during contract negotiations.
- Management and renewal of Company licenses and certificates etc.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws, Legal degree or Engineering degree
- 10-15 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience is projects is a MUST.
- Railway projects experience is an advantage
- Max. Age: 40
- Excellent English Language Skills
- Able to review, develop & amend various contract types
- Ability to handle customer complaints and objections regarding contracts
- Ability to simplify and explain legal terms to non-legal background personnel
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently and decisively take action
- Excellent English skills (Business expert)
