The Applied Research, Innovation and Economic Development Directorate invites applications for the position of Post Doctoral Researcher to work on of the UDST Development of Materials for EM Wave Absorption Project

Your Commitment

The successful candidate will help in groundbreaking research in the design, simulation, fabrication, and testing of innovative metamaterial structures. The Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting experiments, utilizing electromagnetic software, and contributing to our research in microwave measurement and material properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the research team to design and optimize innovative material and metamaterial structure for maximum RCS reduction. Investigate different metamaterial topologies and materials to achieve adaptable performance.
  • Fabricate material and metamaterial prototypes and conduct thorough testing to validate performance under various conditions. 
  • Operate and maintain specialized measurement equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
  • Analyze and interpret research data, providing valuable insights to the team.
  • Collaborate on the preparation of research papers and grant proposal writing, as well as contributing to technical reports and documentation.
  • Maintain a well-organized and safe laboratory environment, adhering to research protocols and safety guidelines.
