Job Description
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Egyptian safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits within the factory environment to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure that all safety equipment and personal protective gear are properly maintained and utilized.
- Organize and conduct health and safety training sessions for employees to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports, and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with the management team to establish safety performance goals and ensure ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Perform risk assessments for various tasks and processes, focusing on potential hazards in steel and iron production.
- Provide technical support and advice to staff on occupational health and safety issues.
- Stay updated on new health and safety regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements relevant to the steel and iron industry.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in the manufacturing industry (steel and iron experience is a plus).
- In-depth knowledge of Egyptian occupational health and safety standards and regulations.
- Proven experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver training sessions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
- Certifications in safety and health management are preferred (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA).
