Job Description
The role of an automation sales engineer involves a combination of technical expertise and sales skills to promote and sell automation solutions to businesses.
Technical Expertise and Solution Design
- Understand Customer Needs: Work closely with clients to understand their automation requirements and pain points.
- Design Solutions: Develop and propose automation solutions that meet the specific needs of each customer. This includes configuring and optimizing systems, equipment, and software.
Sales and Business Development
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients to showcase the benefits and features of the automation solutions.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals, including cost estimates and project timelines, to clients.
Customer Relationship Management
