Job Description
The Tax & Export Subsidies Accountant is responsible to ensure full compliance with Egyptian tax laws and export regulations by accurately managing all tax obligations and efficiently handling the preparation, submission, and follow-up of export subsidy files. The accountant is responsible for safeguarding the company’s financial interests through diligent documentation, effective stakeholder communication, and strong government relations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit all required tax declarations in compliance with Egyptian laws (Income Tax ,VAT, WHT, Payroll Taxes.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants and handle tax audit processes.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely responses to inquiries from Egyptian Tax Authority.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws, guidelines, and regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure internal controls and documentation are aligned with tax regulations.
- Prepare, review, and submit all required documentation to the Export Development Fund and relevant authorities.
- Track and follow up on the status of subsidy claims, reimbursements, and government incentive programs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a tax consultancy or audit office or similar role within a company.
- Previous experience with export documentation and subsidies files is highly preferred.
