Job Description

Overview: The Projects Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution, and management of engineering projects within a chemicals manufacturing facility. This role involves coordinating with various teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project scopes, objectives, and detailed engineering designs for electrical systems.
  • Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Oversee the implementation of projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance during project execution and address any engineering challenges that arise.
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with electrical standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and safety departments, to ensure project alignment with operational goals.
  • Present project updates and reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and improve future project processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within a manufacturing or chemicals environment.
  • Experience in power and control systems (design and installation)
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient use of Power point, Power BI is a huge advantage.
