Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Database Developer with advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level databases, with proven ability to create and optimize complex stored procedures, functions, and views. They will also be responsible for database performance, maintenance operations, and ensuring reliability under heavy load conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
- Optimize database queries and indexing strategies to ensure high performance and scalability under heavy workloads.
- Perform advanced database tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain system stability and efficiency.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure database security, data integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate closely with application developers, architects, and business analysts to support database-driven applications.
- Conduct load and stress testing to ensure systems perform efficiently under high transaction volumes.
- Stay current with SQL Server features, tools, and industry best practices to enhance database performance and reliability.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Database Developer or Senior SQL Developer, with a strong focus on Microsoft SQL Server.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in database development and optimization.
- Expertise in writing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
- Strong knowledge of indexing, query execution plans, and database performance tuning techniques.
- Experience with backup, recovery, and database maintenance operations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage database systems under heavy load.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
