Job Description

  • Review the contract concluded between the company and the customer, review the payment terms, guarantees and any other conditions, and save the contract in files.
  •  Follow up on opening the insurance file and paying the insurance percentage for the contract.
  • Recording the contract value with assistants and customer reports as an indicative item.
  •  Issuing an internal memorandum to the banks’ accountant to issue letters of guarantee linked to the payment terms if the contract stipulates that.
  •  Reviewing the extracts issued by the Projects and Ratios Department to complete the contract calculation, inventory the quantities executed on the actual site, compare them with the client’s extract, and follow up on the differences.
  • Follow up on the cash or check collection of the submitted extract and review the deductions on the check from insurance, taxes, fines, etc. (and verify the percentage of value-added taxes, whether supplying or installing/renting equipment).
  • Make a manual general journal entry and enter it in the journal with the value of the extract and deductions if there are deductions.
  • Recording the extract on the American Journal and the Assistants.
  • Make the necessary settlement entries to prove taxes and deductions, manually or through the program (Ascon).
  • Reducing the client’s debt by the collection value, proving it to the assistants, and making manual general journal entries based on the attached documents from the treasury or bank accountant.
  • Preparing daily and weekly reports on customers’ positions.
  •  Reviewing customer account statements and making approvals with the customer to settle the account periodically.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
  • Time management skills.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
  • BS degree in accounting, working towards a CPA or finance degree.
  • 5years of experience in relevant field.
