Job Description
- Plan, supervise, and manage day-to-day farm operations, focusing on palm cultivation, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting.
- Develop and implement crop management plans to optimize yield and quality of palm products.
- Monitor soil health, water usage, and crop growth, ensuring best practices in sustainable farming.
- Lead and manage farm workers, assigning duties, training staff, and evaluating performance.
- Ensure proper maintenance of farm equipment, irrigation systems, and infrastructure.
- Prepare and manage farm budgets, resource planning, and cost control measures.
- Keep accurate records of farm activities, production data, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and agricultural regulations.
- Research and apply modern agricultural technologies to enhance productivity.
- Liaise with suppliers, buyers, and stakeholders to support business goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in palm farming and farm management.
- Strong knowledge of palm varieties, irrigation methods, fertilization techniques, pest and disease management.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale agricultural operations and teams.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of agricultural machinery and farm technology.
- Excellent communication skills.
