Job Description
-Conduct comprehensive testing on substation equipment:
-Develop and implement test plans based on industry standards, engineering specifications, and equipment -manuals.
-Utilize specialized testing equipment, such as:
-Analyze test data to identify discrepancies, potential problems, and ensure equipment performance meets specifications.
-Prepare detailed test reports documenting test procedures, results, recommendations, and corrective actions.
-Troubleshoot electrical equipment malfunctions and diagnose the root cause of problems.
-Participate in commissioning activities for new or upgraded substation equipment.
-Maintain accurate records of all testing activities and equipment calibration certificates.
-May assist with preventive maintenance programs for substation equipment (depending on the company).
Stay up-to-date on industry standards, testing procedures, and new technologies related to substation testing
Job Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
-Minimum 3-10 years of experience in substation testing or a similar role.
-Strong understanding of electrical power systems and substation equipment.
-Experience using electrical testing equipment and data analysis tools.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety procedures
