Job Description

Job Summary:

We are hiring an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager with a solid background in managing the maintenance of heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz trucks, including dump trucks, flatbeds, rigid trucks, and semi-trailers. The ideal candidate will have 15–20 years of experience in fleet operations, with strong leadership skills and deep technical knowledge of Mercedes truck systems. This role involves managing workshop teams, setting maintenance strategies, and ensuring vehicle reliability and safety across the fleet.

Location: Borg El Arab, within our factory workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all maintenance operations for the fleet of Mercedes-Benz heavy vehicles.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and mechanics, ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules and quality standards.
  • Monitor fleet performance and optimize vehicle uptime.
  • Manage workshop workflow, spare parts procurement, and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and cost records using fleet management systems.
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to align fleet availability with business needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements in maintenance procedures and technologies.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (Master’s is a plus).
  • 15 to 20 years of relevant experience, including extensive experience with Mercedes-Benz heavy trucks and trailers.
  • Proven leadership experience managing large-scale maintenance teams and workshops.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, transmission, and vehicle electronics.
  • Familiar with modern diagnostic tools and fleet maintenance software.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting abilities.

Work Conditions:

  • Workshop-based with field supervision as required.
  • May include travel to project or breakdown locations.
