Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman with hands-on experience in preparing technical drawings for electrical control panels ( PLC/ RTU ), low current systems, and electrical control panels (MCC) and instrument panels, first fix and second fix drawings.
- The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD ,MicroStation and EPLAN, capable of interpreting electrical schematics, layouts, wiring and project specifications.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and wiring diagrams for:
- Control panels ( PLC ,RTU, ESD, Server Cabinets ..etc )
- Low current systems (CCTV, Access Control, BMS, etc.)
- Electrical control and distribution panels (MCC, MDB, SMDB, DB, etc.)
- Instrumentation hookup drawings and connection ( Instruments, Analyzers )
- First Fix , second Fix Drawing.
- Develop and update as-built drawings and shop drawings based on site revisions and design updates.
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain organized drawing archives and drawing revision logs.
- Ensure drawings are completed and delivered on time as per project schedules.
- Support the design team during project submittals, approvals, and site queries.
- Maintain compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as an electrical draftsman in control panel and low current system design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of electrical symbols, panel layout practices, and wiring conventions.
- Familiar with international standards (IEC, NEC, etc.) for electrical drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, single line diagrams (SLD), and P&IDs.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Experience in 3D modeling or Revit MEP is a plus.
- Familiarity with control philosophy and PLC wiring diagrams.
