Job Description

  • Job Main Purpose:

Accountant is responsible for documenting, handling, tracking, analyzing, and preparing financial records as financial audits, reconciling bank statements, taxes, cheques, and other financial transactions.

  • Duties and Tasks:

Duty 1: Accounts Receivable:

  • Processing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, tracking, computing, issuing, and recording accounts receivables' data.
  • Ensuring accounts receivables are in compliance with the financial policies and procedures.
  • Preparing error-free accounts receivable, invoices, and bank deposits.
  • Reviewing and ensuring that payments of the POs are paid by customers on time and are in comply with company policies or procedures.
  • Maintaining accounts receivable files and keeping their records on the ERP system.
  • Producing monthly financial and management reports.
  • Supporting in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process.

Duty 2: Accounts Payable:

  • Analyzing, and responding to suppliers’ inquiries.
  • Monitoring the status of invoices to ensure that payments have been made on time by scheduling with our vendors and suppliers.
  • Collecting cost information and maintaining expenses database.
  • Communicating with vendors regarding any issues with their invoices or accounts receivable balances.
  • Preparing and analyzing reports that summarize accounts payable activity.

Duty: 3: Tax:

  • Forecasting tax payments as per the tax regulations.
  • Preparing quarterly and annual tax reports.
  • Preparing necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns.
  • Responding to internal & external tax auditors.
  • Any other responsibilities that are requested by the direct manager.


  • Work Environment:

Accountant has normal working hours at head office with minimal outdoor visits.


Job Requirements

  • Job Specification:


  • From 1 to 3 years of experience as a Generalist Accountant.
  • Preferably experience in the electrical and mechanical supply and construction field.

Education, Certifications and Training:

  • BSc degree in finance (or any other equivalent degree).
  • Holding CMA, CPA, IFRS or any other relevant certifications will be a plus.


  • Technical Competencies:
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong knowledge of all the financial statements (Balance Sheet – Profit & loss and others.)
  • Strong knowledge of the Egyptian tax laws and regulations.
  • Data Management Skills.
  • Cash Flow Management Skills.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups, pivot tables and other complex functions.



  • Preferably a resident of New Cairo, Nasr-City, Maadi or Heliopolis.
