Job Description
- Supervise and lead the accounting team; ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure proper classification of accounts in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
- Oversee cost accounting and monitor manufacturing costs including raw material, labor, and overheads.
- Analyze variances between actual vs. standard costs and prepare detailed cost reports for management.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with other departments.
- Work closely with the procurement and production teams to track inventory, wastage, and raw material usage.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities for audit and compliance matters.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance financial accuracy.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA / CMA is a plus).
- 12–15 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably wood, furniture, or carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and manufacturing ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, or similar).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel, financial modeling, and accounting software.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
