Job Description
- Review mechanical design drawings, technical specifications, and project documents.
- Prepare and revise shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation for HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Coordinate with electrical, structural, and architectural teams to resolve clashes and ensure design compatibility.
- Submit and follow up on material submittals, RFIs, method statements, and other technical documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) and procurement requests.
- Support site teams with technical queries, modifications, and installation guidance.
- Ensure mechanical systems comply with local codes and international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, etc.).
- Participate in project coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain and update logs for mechanical submissions, revisions, and approvals.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation as required for project progress tracking.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical technical office work (HVAC, firefighting, plumbing).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and mechanical calculation software (e.g., HAP, Elite, DuctSizer).
- Familiarity with BIM coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and construction methods.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
