Job Description
BIM Specialist / Instructor (Online – 4-Week Course)
We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Specialist/Instructor with a Civil Infrastructure focus to deliver an intensive 4-week online training course covering the full workflow from field data capture to final as-built documentation.
Course Structure:
Duration: 4 weeks
Schedule: Daily 3-hour sessions (time to be agreed upon with the instructor)
Delivery: Online, live instruction
Key Topics Covered:
Civil 3D Mastery:
Advanced skills in corridors, grading, utility networks, and surface modeling.
Experience working with field survey data (GPS/RTK, Total Station).
Navisworks Coordination:
Model aggregation, clash detection, and reporting workflows.
Ability to manage multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
GIS & Georeferencing:
Strong understanding of ArcGIS/Map 3D.
Expertise in coordinate systems, transformations, and integrating GIS datasets with survey models.
Reality Capture & Scan-to-As-Built:
Skilled in Autodesk Recap for scan registration, point cloud processing, and scan-to-model workflows.
Familiar with LiDAR (TLS, MLS, ALS), drone photogrammetry, GPR, and mobile scanning tools.
Deliverables & Documentation:
Proficient in Bluebeam for markups, revision control, and packaging PDF plan sets.
Ability to create as-built verification reports and deviation analyses.
Compensation:
Payment made at the end of each class via transaction.
Course continuation is contingent on meeting quality and qualification standards.
If the candidate fails to demonstrate the required expertise, the engagement will be terminated immediately.
Job Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in BIM/VDC workflows for civil infrastructure projects.
- Proven expertise in Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Recap, ArcGIS/Map 3D, and Bluebeam.
- Familiar with survey control points, GPS/RTK, Total Station, Drone Photogrammetry, LiDAR (TLS/MLS/ALS), GPR, and mobile scanners.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver as-built verification packages and professional PDF plan sets.
- Strong communication skills and prior training or mentoring experience.
