Job Title: Proposal EngineerLocation: Abu DhabiSalary: AED 13,000 – 20,000Job Code: 221/002/923Industry: Water TreatmentJob Brief:Our client, a leading player in the water and wastewater treatment industry, is looking to hire two experienced Proposal Engineers – one with a mechanical background and one with an electrical background – for their Abu Dhabi operations. The ideal candidates must have hands-on GCC experience in the water, wastewater, and oil & gas sector, with a strong understanding of technical specifications and tender preparation. This role will play a key part in supporting sales and engineering teams by developing accurate and competitive technical proposals and cost estimations.Job Responsibilities:Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals and tenders for projects such as STP, ETP, WTP, UF, and RO.Design and evaluate sewage treatment systems utilizing MBBR, MBR, SBR, and Activated Sludge process technologies.Carry out cost estimation, vendor evaluation and selection, feasibility studies, and resource planning.Develop BOQs and RFQs; evaluate and verify vendor GA drawings.Conduct techno-commercial discussions with clients and their consultants.Provide technical support to sales engineers and site teams across GCC locations.Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and civil departments to finalize P&IDs and prepare GA drawings, foundation drawings, and SLDs.Prepare electrical consumption details and offer troubleshooting support during plant upgrades or installations.Provide guidance to the sales team for all water & wastewater treatment proposals.Address technical clarifications related to STP components including screens, aerators, mixers, clarifiers, odor control units, and filtration systems.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Environmental / Chemical / Water & Wastewater Engineering.5–7+ years of GCC experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry.In-depth knowledge of oil & gas specifications and standards (e.g., ADNOC, AGES preferred).Fluent in English; strong communication skills.Strong problem-solving and client requirement interpretation skills.Excellent technical product knowledge related to water and wastewater equipment.UAE driving license is preferred.
