Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and design-driven Senior Architect / Urban Design Lead to join our real estate development team. This leadership role is central to translating development visions into viable, high-quality built environments. You will guide design from concept through delivery, ensuring projects meet business objectives, regulatory requirements, and market expectations. The ideal candidate brings a blend of design excellence, commercial awareness, and strong coordination skills to lead multi-disciplinary teams and external consultants.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural and urban design input across all project phases—from feasibility, concept, and master planning through to detailed design and delivery.
- Translate development strategies into design briefs and ensure alignment between the design vision and commercial, functional, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and manage responses to RFPs and design proposals from local and international consultants.
- Evaluate design alternatives based on market positioning, project viability, buildability, and financial performance.
- Coordinate with internal departments (Development, Investment, Sales & Marketing, Project Management) to ensure design supports business goals and customer needs.
- Monitor consultant outputs and ensure deliverables meet the developer’s standards, applicable codes.
- Lead design presentations for executive leadership, government entities, and investors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Urban Design; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience, with at least 3–5 years in a real estate development environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading design efforts for large-scale, mixed-use, residential, or commercial developments.
- Strong understanding of development economics, project phasing, and how design impacts ROI, marketability, and construction feasibility.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong English communication and presentation skills; Arabic is a plus.
- Business-minded designer who can balance aesthetics with function, cost, and commercial value.
