Who are we?

MERAKI Academy provides a Part-Time Coding Bootcamp that helps and teaches anyone how to become a Software Engineer from scratch, despite their background, or even their major.

*Bootcamp: an intensive program that teaches you a massive amount of knowledge in a short time, by using active-learning methodologies.

Job Description 

We are looking for a well-spoken telesales representative to be able to explain our program over the phone. The telesales representative's responsibilities include contacting potential customers who want to join our bootcamp and want to know more about it and reading from a prescribed script.

A successful telesales representative has excellent communication skills as well as sales ability. You should be able to handle all aspects of making a sale.

Main Duties:

  • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service using scripts.
  • Answer questions about products or the company.
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.
  • Direct prospects to the field sales team when needed.
  • Enter and update customer information in the database.
  • Take and process orders in an accurate manner.
  • Handle grievances to preserve the company’s reputation.
  • Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales.
  • Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Doing sales calls with potential customers over the phone.
  • Asking questions to engage customers and keep the conversation going.
  • Listening to the customers' needs to generate repeat sales.
  • Gathering and documenting customer information, and reactions to products.
  • Answering customers' questions about our bootcamp.
  • Generating leads and qualifying prospects to determine their level of interest and suitability.
  • Identifying and addressing customer needs, objections, and concerns to achieve sales targets.
  • Providing information and advice and making recommendations based on customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Good sales ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The patience and ability to engage customers in conversation.
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to handle rejection and stress in soliciting customers.
  • Proven experience in telesales or a similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
