Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team at Polaris Mining LLC. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting experience, with strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day operations to support management decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare, review, and maintain financial records, statements, and reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and inter-company balances.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budgets to ensure financial stability.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
- Handle payroll processing and related statutory filings.
- Support audits by preparing required documentation and liaising with external auditors.
- Assist in financial planning, forecasting, and cost control measures.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions.
- Coordinate with internal departments and management on financial matters.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an Accountant.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Experience with VAT, taxation, and audit procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
