Senior Design Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop designs for HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems in buildings and infrastructure.
• Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, fostering professional development.
• Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with client is essential.
• Thorough understanding of the roles played by other engineering disciplines and departments on projects.
• Review and validate design outputs, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Able to work in project groups with shared-work teams globally, to progress project deliverables.
• Perform calculations to determine heating, cooling, ventilation, Fire protection and water supply requirements, ensuring systems meet performance standards.
• Ensure that designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Work closely with architects, structural, electrical engineers, and construction teams to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, for regulatory and quality assurance purposes.
