We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Backend Developer with strong skills in PHP Laravel and a solid understanding of JavaScript to join our growing team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable web applications and SaaS platforms, working closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Laravel.
- Build and customize dynamic website themes for sales agents, providing them with tools to easily maintain and update their websites.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and security.
- Work with cloud platforms (e.g.AWS) for deploying and scaling applications.
- Implement and manage database schemas (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Ensure code quality through unit tests, code reviews, and documentation.
- Contribute to the architecture and technical decisions for SaaS-based features and microservices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional experience in PHP Laravel development.
- Strong skills in website theme development and customization, with expertise in implementing analytics, ratings, and lead generation features.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and design patterns.
- Proficient in JavaScript, and experience working with at least one JS framework (React JS).
- Experience with SaaS development and multi-tenant architectures.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, authentication methods (JWT, OAuth).
- Experience with Docker and containerized development is a plus.
- Working knowledge of queues, events, jobs, and Laravel packages like Horizon, Passport, etc.
- Good understanding of security best practices and performance optimization.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with billing systems (e.g., Stripe, Cashier).
- Familiarity with analytics, logging, and monitoring tools.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a public GitHub portfolio.
