• Design, install, configure, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based IT systems with a focus on security.
• Manage and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) to ensure optimal network performance and robust security posture.
• Administer Windows Server environments, including user accounts, permissions, and group policies, with a focus on least privilege and secure configurations.
• Implement and manage security solutions like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.
• Perform system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and vulnerability assessments to maintain a strong security posture.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity, ensuring security considerations are addressed throughout the process.
• Provide technical support to internal users, fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
• Participate in system upgrades and migrations, prioritizing security best practices during the implementation process.
• Document system configurations, security procedures, and incident response plans.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar IT role with a focus on security.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, with a focus on security best practices.
• Experience with network security concepts and firewall management (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet FortiGate).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and their security considerations is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical security mindset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or other relevant IT security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or CISSP).
