Job Description
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback .
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Tests software products using systematic procedures to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
- Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans.
- Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
- Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
- Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
- Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
- Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software
- Isolates reproduce and tracks bugs and verifies fixes.
- Authors and executes test plans for manual and/or automated tests.
- Assists in the assessment and planning of test efforts required for new functions/features under development
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Information system or related fields
- Solid understanding of testing components and deliverables within the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into tests.
- Ability to work with software developers and discuss technical issues.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- ISTQB certificate is preferred
- Database experience is a must
- Experience in automation experience using selenium
- Experience in performance experience using JMeter
- Good personal and communication skills.
- Experience practicing any high level programming Language (Java preferred)
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills needed.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
