Job Description
The Legal Consultant is responsible for overseeing the school legal affairs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and representing the school before various authorities and courts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with government entities, vendors, and clients.
- Ensure school operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare legal documents, including briefs, complaints, and other court filings.
- Represent the school in legal proceedings, negotiations, and interactions with third parties.
- Act as the school’s legal representative before the Egyptian Ministry of Education, Ministry of Manpower, The National Authority for social insurance, tax office and Educational Zone Office.
- Manage interactions with the Commercial Register Authority for business registration updates and renewals.
- Oversee licensing and legal compliance related to school-owned vehicles and fleet.
- Conduct internal investigations into regulatory violations and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Act as the company’s legal representative in police stations and general prosecution matters.
- Monitor and stay updated on new government decrees, regulations, and legal decisions, ensuring timely communication to relevant company departments to ensure compliance and avoid any legal penalties.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (License of Law) is required.
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience preferably in Education field or related field.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and governmental procedures.
- Proven ability to negotiate with administrative and government authorities.
